Overview
SPACE completed the interior design and fit-out of Stenhousemuir Gym for Falkirk Council and Falkirk Community Trust (FCT). FCT have a number of gyms in the region and were looking to expand their geographic spread with quality, design focussed installation to attract new public interest and membership.
Space Solutions tender offering focussed on the quality of the interior fit-out and the quality of the gym equipment which met all the aspirations of FCT.
The successful appointment on this project saw Space Solutions delivering Principal Contracting Services and all associated consultancies as a full turnkey delivery.
The project involved working within an existing base build developer’s ground floor shell and creating a new gym, aerobics suite, fully accessible changing facilities and office accommodation.
The project was delivered on time and to the original tendered costs and is both operational and well received by both the staff, operator and the public.
Our Approach
The newly fitted out gym interior creates a bright, modern, stimulating environment with exposed services and high-quality finishes.
The installation and coordination of new increased service mains created some challenges on the site, where public access was present on 3 sides of the building, however this was overcome through proactive site management and coordination of external statutory service providers and SPACE’s services subcontractors.
